Using the RewardsCentral forum will constitute acceptance of these rules and the terms and conditions of the RewardsCentral Terms of Service.
These are the rules. If you do not agree with or like these rules, do not use the RewardsCentral forum.
- You are expected to be polite, and respect other people's opinions. Criticise ideas, not people. No direct or indirect personal attacks. If you post your opinion, you must accept the fact that some people may disagree with your opinion, and they may post a reply to that effect. If this happens, please do not take it as a personal attack. They are entitled to their opinion, just as you are entitled to yours. Having people disagree with you is a natural consequence of participating in a public forum, and if you do not like it, please do not use the forum.
- Do not flame or troll (deliberately pick a fight with another member).
- Do not harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress or discomfort to any other RewardsCentral member, user, or other individual or entity.
- Do not post any material that is obscene, vulgar, indecent, sexually-orientated, pornographic, abusive, hateful, or threatening.
- Do not swear. That includes substituting non-letter characters for the letters in an implied swear word (eg. $#!&)
- Do not impersonate any person, including any RewardsCentral member, moderator or RewardsCentral staff member.
- Do not post any advertising, promotion or solicitation of a commercial nature. This includes but is not limited to promotion of referral schemes, business opportunities, and money-making opportunities. If you wish to advertise your own products/services, please use the Classifieds.
- Do not disrupt the normal flow of dialogue in a forum or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other members.
- Do not post any material that violates any applicable local, State or Federal law.
- Do not post any material which violates or infringes upon the rights of any other person, including material which is an invasion of privacy, and material which is protected by copyright, trademark or any other proprietary right.
Do not post any images that are subject to copyright.
Copying and pasting an entire news article from a news website into a forum post could be considered violation of copyright. You are responsible for your own actions as a forum user, therefore you could be held accountable for the violation of copyright.
Instead of posting an entire article, you should:
- Post the title of the article;
- Include a small excerpt/teaser of no more than 40 words;
- Include a link to the original article on the news website.
Copying from other types of websites into a forum post or using images from another website without permission is also a violation of copyright. You should check if you have permission, and be sure to include a reference and a link back to the original source.
- Do not post a link to a website that breaches any of the above rules.
- Do not use the RewardsCentral forum if you are in serious danger of suicide or harming yourself in any way. Forum members are not mental health professionals or counsellors and are not equipped or skilled to provide counselling if you are in danger of harming yourself. Call lifeline on 13 11 14, another emergency counselling service or a doctor or health care professional.
If you violate any of these rules, this is what may happen:
- Your message may be deleted without notice.
- You may have reward points or Exp deducted from your account as a penalty.
- You may be suspended from posting in the forum for any length of time.
- Your RewardsCentral membership may be cancelled.
- You may be prosecuted in a court of law.
- Where applicable State or Federal laws have been violated, law enforcement authorities will be notified.
